There are many different ways to involve stakeholders in
decision-making processes. But what is the right level of public involvement for the project? Will project team members expect too much or too little from the public? Will stakeholders be disappointed at their level of involvement?
It is important that both the project team and
the stakeholders agree to the level of involvement. The following spectrum
was developed by the International Association for Public Participation
(IAP2) and is used by GCI to determine the level of impact the public will
have on the process.
