Are you trying to make a complex decision, but have a diverse
group of stakeholders with polarized opinions? One possible solution is
to form an advisory group.
Each member shares their opinions and assists in developing solutions that
are in the best interest of the community as a whole.
GCI associates can help you select the appropriate members for a group,
develop operating policies and facilitate the process. We use a four-step
process to help you accomplish your mission:
- Community Based Research
We conduct extensive research to
identify the players. Who are all of the individuals, groups, and organizations
that may be affected or perceive they may be affected by the project?
Which individuals are able to effectively represent each stakeholder
group?
- Detailed Orientation
GCI conducts an orientation session
that focuses on defining a clear, concise mission and operating policies.
Technical information is presented to create a common level of knowledge.
Members also identify specific issues and concerns to be discussed at
future meetings.
- Effective Management and Facilitation
Associates manage the
day-to-day operations of your group including the development of agendas,
distribution of informational packets, facilitation of meetings and
preparation of meeting summaries. We also keep close, personal contact
with members to ensure they have the resources necessary to effectively
participate in the group.
- Celebrating Success
When the group has successfully accomplished
its mission, GCI will help you create closure for the participants and
will manage the renewal and reenergizing of an on-going group.
