As president of GCI, Theresa Gunn serves as the project
director for each of our projects. Depending on the needs of the project,
additional associates are used to successfully meet the client’s public participation
goals.
Theresa Gunn has provided public involvement services throughout the Southwest for 20 years and founded GCI in 1997. Theresa specializes in public involvement planning and implementation, citizen group management, meeting facilitation, stakeholder research, project management and strategic planning. High-quality, accurate, and candid communication is her trademark.
As part of her responsibilities as a public involvement consultant, Theresa has prepared public involvement plans and reports for a wide variety of projects including chapters on
public involvement for environmental impact statements, citizen participation reports for local governments and issue assessments for private sector clients.
Theresa earned a bachelor’s degree in public relations from Oklahoma State University and a master’s degree in organizational management from the University of Phoenix. She has completed training courses in citizen participation, group facilitation, and strategic planning processes. Theresa is active in the International Association for Public Participation and has completed the IAP2 Certificate training program.
All associates have extensive experience in public participation. In addition, each person has a special area of focus.
